The Alpha Omega Graduate Association, Inc. (AOGA) serves as the House Corporation for the Chapter House located in Athens, Ohio and also serves as the Graduate Association for the graduate members of the Alpha Omega Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity.
In its role as House Corporation, AOGA, Inc. holds title to the Fraternity House located at 20 South College Street, negotiates mortgage financing arrangements with local banks, obtains housing contracts for the rental of rooms during the school year, operates the Boarding Club and establishes routine maintenance and capital expenditure budgets for the safe and sanitary operation of the house. AOGA also prescribes appropriate Rules of Conduct for residents of the house and their guests to ensure compliance with Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity and Ohio University Rules, and state of Ohio and City of Athens laws. The House Director, Cook and busboys are employees of AOGA.
As a Graduate Association, AOGA sponsors various social and recreational activities in and outside of Athens, Ohio annually to reconnect Alpha Omega Graduate Brothers, finances and administers Scholarship and Leadership Programs for the benefit of undergraduate members of the Chapter and raises funds as needed for the expansion of its various activities and programs. Upon graduation from Ohio University, all undergraduate members of the Alpha Omega Chapter, in good standing, automatically become members of The Alpha Omega Graduate Association, Inc. As of the conclusion of the 2008-09 academic year at Ohio University, membership in AOGA, Inc. stands at over 800 graduate members.
All members of the AOGA Board of Directors serve without compensation and were undergraduate members of the Alpha Omega Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta during their college years at Ohio University. Officers and Directors of the Board are elected/reelected annually at the Annual Members’ Meeting.
