First Annual AOGA Golf Outing

October 7, 2005

On Friday, October 7, 2005, eleven graduate brothers of Alpha Omega made the First Annual Alpha Omega Graduate Association Golf Outing a unanimous success, in the opinion of all those in attendance. In spite of a chilly and misty fall day, all eleven who committed to play were in attendance at Apple Valley Golf Club northeast of Columbus, Ohio, to brave the elements and enjoy some brotherhood. Brother Verne Reich ’72 came from Chicago to play and Brother John Trombley ’69 traveled from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for the event. For several brothers in attendance, it was the first time they had ever met one another, which only reinforces our motto, “Not For College Days Alone”.

After golf, players enjoyed the hospitality of Brother Tom Bishop ’71 and his wife Vicky at their cottage on Apple Valley Lake for pizza, liquid refreshments and the sharing of the many things we have in common because of our membership in Phi Gamma Delta and Alpha Omega. The assembly decided that the tariff to return and play again next year, was to bring another brother!

A special thank you to Brother Bishop and his wife Vicky and Brothers Reich and George Promenschenkel ‘86 for donating prizes and Brother Chris Moehring ‘74 for taking pictures.
