Haynes Award

Kevin McGraw '90 Recipient of

2004 Phi Gamma Delta Tyler Haynes Award

On December 2, 2005 International Headquarters, in Lexington, Kentucky, announced that Brother Kevin McGraw ‘90 won Phi Gamma Delta’s Haynes Award for 2004. The Haynes Award is presented annually to the most effective Section Chief in The International Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta. It was proposed by the Rho Chi Chapter at the University of Richmond in honor of Tyler Haynes (Richmond ‘22), himself a former Section Chief and Coulter Cup recipient.

Kevin is responsible for our Fiji Chapters at Miami, Cincinnati, Kentucky, and Wittenberg. He works with the Purple Legionnaires, Boards of Chapter Advisers, and House Corporations at each of these Chapters. He was also responsible for the Ohio/Kentucky Fiji State Day at Ohio Wesleyan University. This conference brings together 11 Fiji Chapters for leadership training. Kevin also served as a facilitator for the fraternity recruitment training "Recruitment Boot Camp" at Fiji Academy, in St. Louis, this past year.

"I have had a great opportunity to share the values I learned at Alpha Omega with hundreds of Phi Gam's” states Brother McGraw. “It is an honor to represent Alpha Omega to our Chapters”.

In addition to his work as Section Chief, Kevin has served on the Alpha Omega Graduate Association House Corporation and advised Alpha Omega Chapter in the area of ritual and post-initiation training.

In the past, Kevin has served as the Purple Legionnaire of our Chapters at Colorado School of Mines and at the University of Cincinnati. He currently serves as President of the Greater Cincinnati Fiji Graduate Chapter.

Kevin Lives in Cincinnati, OH and works for DIRECTV. He also serves on a variety of fund raising boards including the Hamilton County Republican Club and the Cincinnati Ballet.

Well done “Quickdraw”! Thank You for all you do for Alpha Omega and Phi Gamma Delta!
